All About Me

Hello, my name is Jennifer. 

I started Just Be Kids in 2017 when I realized there was not a lot of early childhood education options for my nieces and nephews in my local area. 

Prior to starting Just Be Kids, I was the head director of a highly respected preschool for 17 years. I had excelled in my mission to help children prepare for academic success in their educational journeys while with my previous preschool and I wanted to do the same for my own family but with a more personal approach.

Creating an atmosphere of acceptance, care, safety, and individual recognition has been my goal for every child that has come under my care at Just Be Kids. 

I have a strong foundation in play-based education which research has shown to be the superior method for children to begin to thrive academically in early childhood. 

Since the beginning, I have infused a culture of discovery, exploration and critical thinking through the application of play into every class and every lesson. My personal mission is to make sure that every child I teach receives a high-quality education in an environment where they feel safe, encouraged, and valued.

Some fun facts about me are:

• I have 4 step kids and 4 grandchildren

• I love music, playing games, party planning, crafts, dancing, scrapbooking, and hanging out with my family and friends

• My favorite TV show is F.R.I.E.N.D.S 

• My favorite places are Disneyland and the Ocean

• I love all of my nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren

• My favorite shopping place is Amazon

• My favorite season is Football season
